Alabaster Offering in the Church of the Nazarene is a global offering taken twice a year in September and February. The Alabaster Offering provides funds for property and buildings around the world. While we understand the church consists of the people of God and not a building, buildings erected for the purpose of ministry help provide a sense of permanence, functionally enhance ministry efforts, and convey an attitude that the Church of the Nazarene intends to "put down roots."
Alabaster funds have supported church chapels, school buildings, mission and district centers, hospital and clinic facilitieis, missionary homes, church parsonages, church land purchases, and other ministry facilities around the globe. These become places TO WORSHIP, LEARN, LIVE AND SERVE.
ENC will be taking our fall Alabaster Offering on Sunday, September 27th in the 10:30am service. Many of us add coins or bills to our alabaster box (we have many available in the foyer) on a regular basis. Others decide to match funds to Alabaster every time they (for instance) buy a special latte or cup of cappochino. Whatever way you choose to support, it can be given by cash, coin, check or online giving. If giving by check or online, be sure to include Alabaster in the memo field of your check or option line here on this website giving page.
